Common questions

Do I need an account?
No. The app opens straight onto the board. There is nothing to sign up for.

Does it work without a signal?
Yes, always. The app does not connect to the internet at all.

Who are the players already on the board?
The app opens on an example match so you can see how the board works. Tap Start with a blank board to clear it, or Keep the example to explore it first. New match clears the scores at any time and keeps the names.

Which formats does it cover?
1 v 1 on one table; Blitz, two teams of two on tables 1 and 2 for 10 minutes, where the first team two goals clear wins; and Team of 4 on four tables, decided on matches won and then aggregate goals. Switch between them at the top of the screen.

What are the claxon and the pings near the end?
The Time Pressure Period from rule 1.6 of the P.S.T.S.C. rules. When 30 seconds remain in the 2nd half, or in a Blitz, a claxon sounds, then a ping every second until full time. There is none in the 1st half or in sudden death. Turn Buzzer off to silence them along with the full-time buzzer.

What happens if a match is level at full time?
The clock offers Start sudden death. The first goal that breaks the tie decides it. If sudden death runs out still level, shots decide it; the app does not score a shoot-out.

Where are my matches stored?
On your device, and nowhere else. The current match saves automatically. To keep a match, export it as a CSV file or a PDF result sheet from Names and settings; a CSV file can be imported again later.

Where is everything on iPad in landscape?
The clock and the table cards each fill the screen. Swipe up from the clock to see the tables, and down to go back.

Can I use a keyboard?
Yes. With a keyboard attached, the space bar starts and pauses the clock.

Reporting a problem

If something is wrong, the two things that help most are what you were doing when it happened, and which device you were on. A screenshot is worth more than either.
